Hassan M. Danilo Tagle is currently Director, Office of Special Initiatives at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where he coordinates efforts towards developing microphysiological systems or organs on chips. He also coordinates efforts on 3D bioprinting for drug discovery and development, on automated chemistry, on the use of electronic nose technology for disease diagnosis, and the clinical utility of secreted RNA in exosomes for biomarker and therapy development. Prior to joining NCATS in 2012, Dan was a program director for neurogenetics at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS, NIH), where he was involved in developing programs concerning genomics-based approaches for basic and translational research in inherited brain disorders. Prior to joining NINDS in 2001, Dan was an investigator and section head of molecular neurogenetics at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI, NIH) and has been involved in the highly collaborative effort toward the positional cloning of genes for Huntington’s disease, ataxia-telangiectasia and Niemann-Pick disease type C. He has served on numerous committees, advisory boards, and editorial boards. Dan obtained his Ph.D. in molecular biology and genetics from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1990. He was an NIH National Research Service Award postdoctoral fellow in human genetics at the University of Michigan. Dan has authored many scientific publications and has garnered numerous awards, including more recently the Roscoe O. Brady Award for Innovation and Accomplishment, and the Henry J. Heimlich Award for Innovative Medicine.

Dr. Mihail Lucian Birsa is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university in 1995. He joined the master program at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in 1995, and in 2000 was awarded a Ph. D. degree in Organic Chemistry. From 2000 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Professor Samuel Braverman at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. In 2003 he was selected as a member of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, working with Professor Henning Hopf in TU Braunschweig - Germany. Since then numerous return fellowships were granted by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology – China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered 170 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With about 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than 12,500 citations and 16 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, 2023-AD Scientific Index, and 2023-Research.com.

Dimitrios P. Nikolelis received his PhD from University of Athens in 1976 and he is a professor of analytical and environmental chemistry in Department of Chemistry, University of Athens. Prof. Dimitrios Nikolelis has coordinated 3 European Projects on environmental biosensors (CIPA96-0231, IC15-CT96-0804 and QLK3-2000-01311). He also was twice a. NATO Director in the following Advanced Research Workshops: 1. Biosensors for Direct Monitoring of Environmental Pollutants in Field, Smolenice, Slovakia,: May 1996 and 2. Portable biosensors for the Rapid Detection of Biochemical Weapons of Terrorism, July 2012. Prof. Dimitrios Nikolelis has over 200 scientific papers in scientific journals and conferences. He is the Editor of 5 books on Biosensors (1. Biosensors for Direct Monitoring of Environmental Pollutants in Field, Springer, 1996, 2. Portable Chemical Sensors- Weapons against Bioterrorism, Springer, 2012 and 3. Portable Biosensing of Food Toxicants and Environmental Pollutants, CRC, 2013 3. 4. His research is targeted on the fabrication of portable biosensors for in the field uses and he has authored a large number of scientific papers on the detection of environmental pollutants such as hydrazines, dioxins, insecticides, toxins, etc. His current interests also include the construction of novel chemical nanosensors that can be used for the rapid detection of environmental pollutants directly in the gas phase. Prof. D. P. Nikolelis group has recently utilized graphene and ZnO to develop chemical nanosensors based on polymer lipid films for species of clinical or food significance such as urea, uric acid, cholesterol, etc. In progress, there is the evaluation and validation of nanosensors that are based on stabilized polymerized lipid films supported on glass fiber filters using a dry spot test using optical methods of analysis (i.e., fluorescence) to detect environmental pollutants such as insecticides, plant hormones, toxins, hydrazines, etc.

Willie Sai Ho Chan ( Prof Chan ) LLB, MD, grew up in Hong Kong. He completed his schooling from the Queen's College, Hong Kong, and studied aircraft engineering at the Hong Kong Far East Flying & Technical School. And he received his Bachelor's degree ( LLB ) from the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China, and Doctor of Medicine ( MD ) from the China Medical University in Taiwan, China. He is currently working as Fellow, Professor and National Representative of the European Association for Predictive, Preventive and Personalised Medicine ( EPMA, Brussels, Belgium ) in Taiwan, China. He acts as Coordinator among other countries to promote the aim of the Association. He is an inter- and multi-disciplinar healthcare professional with increasing international recognition. He also serves as an Editor-in-Chief for several journals and is an editorial board member and reviewer for various journals. Luca Roncati, MD-PhD, DMLS, is Associate Editor of the European Journal of Gynaecological Oncology (EJGO), Medical Executive at the University Hospital of Modena, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). Prof. Fatma M. El-Demerdash has completed her Ph.D. at Alexandria University, Egypt, and postdoctoral studies from INRA, Montpellier, France. She acts as a Professor of Biochemistry at the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University. Member of Egyptian Universities Promotion Committees (Biochemistry committee) for three periods. Teaching and supervising several postgraduate students (Ph.D. and MSc). Her research interests include biochemistry, environmental toxicology, pesticides, heavy metals, nanoparticles, medicinal plants, and antioxidants. Participated in and organized several international conferences. She has several publications that have been cited over 6020 times, and her H-index is 31 and has been serving as an editorial board member and reviewer of several reputed international Journals.

Sinisa Franjic graduated from the Faculty of Law. Thesis entitled "Legal aspects of information systems" he was defended Summa Cum Laude and become an LLM of Law. Since 1992., he work as a journalist - freelance contributor to the first Radio Osijek of HRT (Croatian Radio Television), and then something shorter, among other media, he worked for HTV - TV center Osijek, weekly "Skolske novine (School Newspaper)“ and the monthly "Super Kino Video (Super Cinema video)". In the academic year 2009./2010., Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Osijek (today Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek) appointed him as a part-time assistant on the course "Computer Criminality". With Computer Criminality, he studying Medical Law and a few other legal disciplines. In the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Osijek he participated in the teaching of the courses "Computer Criminality" and "Legal Regulations in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science" and in the Faculty of Medicine in Osijek, he participated in the teaching of the courses "Social and Health Legislation" and "Medicine and Health Law". The successful defense of his doctoral dissertation on the topic of Criminal law called "The Criminal Justice and Forensic Aspects of Computer Criminality", he received a Ph.D. in the area of Criminal law and Criminalistics/Forensics.
